Unfiltered and Intentional: The New Era of the Holistic Interior Design Podcast

It’s been a minute, and I’m so happy to be here with you again. This marks episode 173 of the Holistic Interior Design Podcast and the beginning of a new chapter. A return to where this podcast first started—serving my design clients and offering guidance, inspiration, and support for creating intentional, aligned spaces.

In this episode, I light a candle, something I’ll be doing each week to bring in clarity and presence before we dive in. I also pull a tarot card, and this time it was the King of Pentacles. It’s a card that speaks to grounded abundance, prosperity, and living in alignment with your values. It felt like confirmation that this shift I’m making with the podcast is exactly what needs to happen, and that I’m on the right path. Maybe you are too.

This return episode is really just me sharing from the heart. Letting you in on what’s been going on behind the scenes, the shifts I’ve felt in my business, and why I’ve decided to show up raw and unedited from here on out. Perfectionism has held me back in more ways than I care to admit, and I’m ready to let it go. These episodes are going to be real. They might be messy. But they’ll be honest. Just like the homes and spaces we’re all working to create.

When I started this podcast in 2022, it was for my clients. I wanted to share what holistic interior design meant to me, and how we can use our spaces as tools for healing and alignment. Along the way, I began mentoring new and aspiring designers, and the podcast shifted in that direction for a while. I created the Design Coven, gave talks and workshops, and poured myself into supporting other designers—and I still love that part of my work. If you’re one of those designers, you’re still so welcome here. And I’m still available for mentorship if that’s something you're looking for.

But right now, I feel the pull to return to the heart of my practice—to speak directly to the people I design for. Conscious homeowners, holistic business owners, wellness practitioners, creatives, boutique hospitality founders—anyone who’s building a space that supports who they are and what they’re here to do.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the world we’re living in. The economy is shifting, people aren’t investing in travel or luxury the way they used to, and we’re all feeling a bit of uncertainty. It reminds me of the early days of the pandemic—when our homes became everything. Our offices, our sanctuaries, our safe spaces. And I believe our spaces still hold that kind of power.

That’s why I’m committing to using this podcast as a resource—something that’s accessible and completely free—to help you create a supportive, intentional environment with what you already have. I’ll be sharing energetic tools, design tips, rituals, and ways to align your space with your values and your energy. I’ll also be opening up space for you to share your design dilemmas, questions, and curiosities.

If you want to send me a question or share something you're struggling with in your space, you can leave me a voice message here:

Starting Tuesday, May 6, I’ll be releasing new episodes every week—short, soulful, and packed with practical tools and reflections. The first one will be a refreshed version of “What Is Holistic Interior Design?” from where I’m at now, after everything that’s shifted in my life and work.

Whether you’re designing your home, shaping your business space, or just trying to feel more grounded in your environment, I’m glad you’re here. Thank you for listening and allowing this podcast to evolve alongside me.

XO,
Rachel
