As a collaborator on the design team for Realm of the 52 Remedies, I worked alongside Michael Soriano of Onairos Design to help bring to life a modern-day apothecary rooted in the ancient wisdom of the Wushi’er Bingfang—a foundational Chinese medical text from 215 BCE. My contribution spanned from early concept development to the final installation of a custom art piece: a collection of dragon eggs, encoded in intentional patterns reminiscent of Morse code. These sculptural forms serve as a visual incantation—each “egg” embedded with symbolic messages tied to healing, transformation, and energy alignment. The immersive space evokes the essence of traditional Chinese medicine: harmony, vitality, and the deep interplay between body, mind, and spirit. Together, our team wove ancient philosophy with modern mystique to create a sanctuary that honors centuries-old healing practices within the spirit of a contemporary speakeasy.
